1.Dear ABC Cambodia,
In the name of a Cambodian, I am very proud to have ABC here in my country. Also, I would like to thank Acha A and his team for taking P. Vihear conflict as the hot news in the morning talk. Though not many people are listening to your radio if compare to others (A cha A mentioned this morning June 25, 2008), still I believe Khmer people are aware of this problem. PLease carry on doing this; We the Cambodians are always on your side since you are taking good actions for us. I always listen to your morning talk everyday though I can’t hear the complete show since I need to go to work at 7 o’clock. Often I write to my ex-students and friends about this and hope they are also begining to take actions to protect our heritage.
Since the last few years, I raised up my concern on getting to much influence from the nearby contries esp. Thailand on daily life raning from using their product to adopt their style to my students, but they didn’t really care much about that even they are the hope of future Cambodia. Still I am keeping doing till now and I am very happy since more and more people are caring and start taking actions for our nation.
Again, I would like to thank ABC Cambodia for your infromation sharing and awareness raising for P.Vihear news. May you all strength and energy with successfulness.
Respectfully yours,
Samnang
P.S. Personally, I often have problem of hearing your radio show. I mean sometimes I can’t hear yours well though I am living in Phnom Penh. Please tell me how to get clear voice from your shows.

6.Dear all mates,
Please sensitively imagine and analyze how great we used to be during Khmer Empire (9th-14th). No Thailand and even Laos. Our Preah Vihear Temple was built during 11th and 12th centaury. How come that Siam can have a say about it! Please note that I abstracted it from a French movie talking about Khmer and King Sihanouk. More importantly, during 19th, our Cambodia’s map use to be bigger than today map. Why does it become smaller and er…? If we don’t ask today to protect, can we become a Champa II? One example of that, a Thai student tell his TV5 that Thai border will reach Viet Nam’s during 100 years (RFA’s interview). What do you fell? If Thai does not recognize the 1907 frontier line done and mutually approved by Franco-Siamese Commission, they may ask for the other two provinces, Battambong and Siem Reap, that another treaty was signed by French and Siam. What will happen? Think about it carefully, you will see it is a SERIOUS case for our nation.
How many temples that we have lost that located in today Thailand? Why most of those inscription in stone were in Khmer language but located in Thailand (go back to see map I: Khmer Empire- you then can answer). Why Angkor facing to West? One of the most reason why is because of lands were hugely lay to the west (GREAT Khmer Empire)-(listen to h0325-angkor-West facing.mp3).
How many of us know Who is KHMER? I will send you another discovery by Khmer Prof. Or if you have any history, just keep me posted.
Please respond to me if anything to update or correct. Share it with your friends as many as possible.
Regards,
Sony
