The Thais insist that they learn Pali-Sanskrit from the “ Khom” and presently they event change their history to say that their “ alphabets were derived from Khom” — not from Cambodian or Khmer, and I have yet to meet a Khom citizen nor seen a country on any map with such name. To prove it that they really learned from the Khom and not Cambodians or Khmers, the Thais show Khom’s alphabets on the top of theirs and theirs on top of latin alphabets.
